Nearly 250 students from South East Queensland
took part in the 2013 Thiess Spaghetti Bridge Competition
The competition is a fun and challenging opportunity for students to test their engineering skills and experience the planning, problem solving and team work required for a career in engineering.
The competitors were challenged to build the strongest bridge weighing only 300gm (including a 70gm loading plate) constructed with only spaghetti and glue to span 35cm.
The 2013 competition was bigger and better than ever, with two categories - one for high school students and a new category for university students.
Congratulations to our winners who share in a prize pool of $17,500.
